Acne occurrence in the adult is quite different from normal acne occurrence. It is an annoying skin problem which is usually noticed in the people of the age group around 30 to 50years. It is generally observed in the people who have light colored skin. The exact causes of the appearance of this problem are still unknown however it is believed to be linked to several hormonal changes and imbalances occurring in a person’s body; consequently enhancing the oil content in skin which leads to the formation of blocked hair follicles or pores in the skin. This leads to compilation of waste matter underneath skin surface which further infected by bacteria and causes acne to appear on the face.
The main purpose of an effective acne treatment is to reduce blemishes and other acne affects. People who are undergoing acne are always recommended by dermatologist to clean their face gently from non comedogenic moisturizer. They should avoid any cheap skin product and evade picking or rubbing the skin surface. To get a healthy look of skin, they should drink plenty of water.
People who have been suffering from small to acute acne may get treatment or get help of topical or oral medicines; nevertheless, for sensitive acne systematic therapy is generally used. There are several of systematic drugs has been used to treat acne such as corticosteroid injection, oral contraceptives, oral antibiotics like tetracycline & erythromycin and isotretinoin.
Countries such as United States where the most of people prefer to use antimicrobials which is apply for the treatment of acne contains benzoyl peroxide, sodium sulfacetamide, erythromycin and azelaic acid. In the tropical retinoid they prefer to use adapalene, taxarotene and tretimoin.
There are numerous treatments that are used for adults they are for acne of other age groups. Before starting the treatment, it should be kept in mind that all popular adult acne products do not treat everyone alike; therefore, it is always wise to take suggestions from a dermatologist before getting a treatment.
