Aspirin Side Effects : Effectively Treat Pain and Know How to Avoid Associating Complications

Aspirin, an anti-inflammatory drug, is used for treating minor pain and aches such as headaches, toothaches, etc. In several cases, it can be also used for treating mild fever. Besides, it can also be used to treat minor or early symptoms of pain or aches associating with arthritis, menstrual discomforts, muscle aches, cold and flu. Also its regular doses are also consumed for ensuring sufficient blood flow in the brain for preventing stroke and other heart complications.

The recommended doses of this drug may vary depending upon the symptoms and age. Consider consuming the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if the next dose closes in then it is better to skip it. Never double its doses as it can result in several side effects or could just worsen the ongoing issue. On experiencing any of its overdosing symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention immediately.

There are several side effects of this drug and are generally unpredictable. Therefore, while undergoing any change or developing any intensity you should immediately consult with the doctor. Its common side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach upset or pain, heart burn, blood stool and may also result in the formation of stomach ulcers.

There are also certain measures for avoiding aspirins under certain specific conditions. Avoid using this drug if it has a strong vinegar odor. If aspirin upsets stomach then consider using a buffered or coated brand to relief the problem. Never chew or crush the released brands of this drug. On being allergic to this drug or a patient of asthma or any form of ulcers, avoid consuming this. Also do combine or mix this drug with any other medication as this could either result in its side effects or may worsen the ongoing issue.

It is strongly recommended that pregnant women must consult the doctor. Using this drug during the last three months of pregnancy can prove quite dangerous. This can cause problem in the fetus development or lead to complications during delivery. This drug also appears in the breast milk and therefore, nursing women must consult the doctor before being prescribed for the same.

Aspirins are recommended to be stored at room temperature and away from moisture and direct heat.
