Athletes Foot Causes and Home Remedies

Athlete’s foot or Tenia Pedis is the fungal infection on the skin especially the feet skin. This disease is very common in places with warm climatic conditions as the people there will have excessive sweating. This condition affects the region amidst the toe fingers. It is must to take steps initially to avoid the adverse effects of this contagious skin disease.
Causes:
Athlete’s foot is rooted due to the following :
1. Wearing fungal infected shoes and socks
2. Touching infected pet animals
3. Wet and dirty toes and fingers
Symptoms :
The most well known symptoms of athlete’s foot are:
1. Bad odor from the toe
2. Reddened scales on the toe.
3. Burning sensation, blisters, inflammation, itching between the leg fingers.
Home Remedies :
Athlete’s feet can be treated completely in the earlier stage of the above symptoms through some simple and successful home
Remedies as Follows :
1. Make baking soda paste by mixing one table spoon of baking soda with water and apply it in the infected areas and allow it to dry. Then rinse it later. This can be done everyday before sleep to get cure from athlete’s foot.
2. Mix water and white vinegar in equal proportions in a tub and soak the feet for half an hour to reduce fungal growth. Then apply rub tea tree oil between toe fingers to soothe them.
3. Choose fine quality foot wear and cotton socks to offer comfort to your feet.
4. Eat nutritious diet. It is good to avoid too spicy, sugary, junk and oily foods.
5. Always keep your feet dry and clean.
6. It is advisable to do pedicures twice in a month using recommended foot cleaning tools. This will remove dead tissues and enable your foot to breathe well.
7. Do not go barefoot to any place as this will make your foot dirty.
8. Place fresh raw garlic in the shoes and wear them all through the day to control fungal growth.
9. Keep your mind free from stress to allow your body to rest and refresh.
10. Wash your shocks everyday after usage to avoid bad smell.
11. Use some of antiperspirant and deodorant sprays, creams or powder to protect your feet from sweat and fungus.
12. Another efficient way to cure athlete’s foot is to dissolve six aspirin tablets in half a cup of rubbing alcohol. Apply this mixture in the affected area three times a day to cure athlete’s foot.
13. A foot cleanser can be prepared by mixing one part of pure apple cider vinegar with one part of warm water. Soak the feet for 20 minutes to treat athlete’s foot.
14. Athlete’s feet can also be cured through mixture of water, one cup of vinegar, quarter cup of Epsom salt and three table spoons of boric acid. Take this mixture in a bowl and soak feet for
15 minutes to remove fungal infection from the feet.
