Belching Causes and Home Remedies

Belching is the condition in which the gas is released from the mouth. This is also known as burping. Belching can occur when you swallow excess air while eating or drinking that air is released from the digestive tract through the mouth. Belching is medically referred as eructation or ructus. These phenomena can occur to all devoid of age.
Causes:
Belching can be rooted by several factors like the following:
1. Fast eating and drinking
2. Drinking carbonated drinks
3. Indigestion
4. While eating dairy products and sugar food items
5. Some vegetables like cabbage, apricots, bananas, onions, prunes produce gases in stomach and this is released through
blenching.
6. Heartburns
7. Habitual practise of blenching
8. Irregular food consumption
9. Easophagal and reflux condition
10. Psychological stress
11. Chewing gum
12. Obesity
13. Eating too much
14. Hernias
15. Fasting
16. Pregnancy
17. In infants.
18. Badly fitted dentures
19. Any abdominal surgery.
Symptoms:
1. Burning sensation in the mouth or throat
2. Eruptive noise from the mouth together with vomiting sensation.
3. Burping sounds with bad odor.
Home remedies for belching:
There are various successful home remedies that aid to cure belching.
1. Chew well and eat slowly.
2. Avoid carbonated drinks.
3. Do not intake too much of chocolates, chewing gum, onions to avoid belching.
4. Have small meals at regular intervals.
5. It is good to take soups before meals.
6. Drink herbal teas made with blackberry, mint, raspberry, and chamomile. This will give immediate relief from belching.
7. Asafoetida is the best remedy to cure belching. Use Asafoetida in daily cooking or mix this powder in water and drink once daily for quick remedy.
8. Garlic also can be a fine remedy for belching. Eat few garlic cloves in empty stomach every day to prevent belching.
9. Add one teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of water and drink it before meals.
10. Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight and drink the water next day in empty stomach. This will give cure from belching.
11. Add two tea spoons of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to a cup of water and drink this mixture before meals to stop belching.
12. Ginger tea can promote better digestion and gives relief from belching.
13. Some abdominal exercises will help to prevent the unwanted gas formation in the stomach. Yoga and Pranayama are other suitable exercises that will treat belching.
14. It is best to have a walk every day for atleast 30 minutes to promote better digestion and remain fit.
15. Drink warm water with three drops of mint essence oil to cure belching.
16. Honey and lemon juice mixture can be a useful remedy for belching.
17. Suck a clove or black harad after meals for quick digestion and avoid gas formation.
