Hardening of arteries is medically termed as arteriosclerosis. In arteriosclerosis condition the walls of the blood vessels becomes thicken and looses their elasticity to narrow down, which will interrupt the blood flow. The thickening of the blood vessel is due to the deposit of fatty substance, cholesterols, cellular waste products and calcium. This will thicken the arteries and block them from supplying blood to heart and other parts of the body which may result in various diseases like heart attack, dysfunction of body parts, stroke etc. Arteriosclerosis most commonly occurs in old age people.

10. Green-tea is the most familiar means of cure for arteriosclerosis. The Epigallocetechin Gallate present in green tea helps to lower LDL and raise HDL which will reduce the dangers of arteriosclerosis.
