Acknowledging your depression is the first step to getting back to being your normal self. You don’t know why you feel the way you do, but you know that you are not yourself.</p>

Their awareness of your depression is brought on by your actions such as irritability. Your attitude changes, your habits and whether or not you believe it you are affecting your loved ones. Once you do acknowledge your depression; you are able to seek the professional help that you need.</p>
<p>Depression has many side affects. So in order to acknowledge your depression you will need to know what those side affects are.</p>
<p><strong>1)      Panic Attacks – </strong>You feel as though you can’t breathe, but you are. You may have chest pains mainly a tightness in you chest and think that you are having a heart attack. They start out only lasting a few seconds and become longer if left untreated.</p>
<p><strong>2)      Stressed and Fatigued –</strong> These two symptoms seem to go hand in hand. You don’t want to get out of bed because you are too tired. You don’t want to take a shower or brush your teeth. You don’t want to get up off the sofa; you may sit there all day long and dread starting to do anything. So you don’t. Let’s face it! You just don’t want to be bothered. If you have more than one day a week and this occurs you are depressed.<br />

<p><strong>4)      Angry all the time – </strong>If even the little things that use to never bother you now irritates you and makes you angry chances are you are depressed.</p>
<p><strong>5)      Want to be left alone all or most of the time – </strong>So you don’t want any company, you don’t want to answer the phone, and you don’t want to go anywhere. Chances are you are depressed.</p>
<p>If you fall into more than one of these categories or if you have one of these symptoms frequently; seek professional help. There are medications that can help you to feel like your normal self. Don’t wait until you do something drastic to yourself or someone else. Acknowledge your depression and call your doctor or your health care provider.</p>
