Causes and Home Remedies for Arthritis

Generally the inflammatory condition of the bone joints is medically termed as arthritis. But arthritis can also include muscles, ligaments and cartilage inflammations. Arthritis is a chronic disease that is of various types like osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Gout, Juvenile arthritis. Osteoarthritis most commonly occurs to old-age people in whom their joints become degenerated and supple. Rheumatoid arthritis is the dangerous condition that can arise to anyone. In this state the ligaments and tendons of the bones and muscles gets destroyed which will affect the entire body movement. Gout arthritis also roots irritation between joints and increases the pain.

Causes:

Arthritis can be sourced from several factors like the following:

  1. Environmental conditions (too cold climate)
  2. Psychological factors (Emotional stress)
  3. Lack of proper posture practise
  4. Unbalanced and poor diet
  5. Genetic factors
  6. Obesity
  7. Extreme exercising and other workouts
  8. Improper utility of joints
  9. Constipation
  10. Aging and hormonal changes
  11. Physical damage due to accidents

Symptoms:

There are some vital signs that denote the ailment of arthritis as follows:

  1. Persistent pain in the joints while in action
  2. Stiffness in one or more joints
  3. Irritation and inflammation of affected muscles, ligaments and cartilage.
  4. Redness of joint
  5. Swelling in the affected part
  6. Restriction of joint movement
  7. Extended fever
  8. Joint cracks.

Home treatment for arthritis:

The following are some of the effective arthritis remedies that can be done at home easily for good results:

  1. Eat nutritious diet: An arthritis patient should be very careful in selecting his food items. Food stuffs like fresh fruits, vegetables, salads to induce alkalinity in blood to strengthen bones and muscles.
  2. Oil massage: Take warm olive oil or mustard oil or coconut oil or hot vinegar and massage gently over the painful areas. This will give better relief from arthritis.
  3. Include supplements of calcium, zinc and vitamin C to strengthen bones.
  4. Wrap red flannel around the affected joint and leave it for one night. This will be an effective treatment for arthritis.
  5. Sea bathing is another natural way to get relief from arthritis. Sea water is rich in iodine and this helps the body to produce more alkaline to mend and refresh dead tissues and enhances the body structure.
  6. Mixture of lemon juice and honey in a cup of warm water can be take two times a day to cure arthritis.
  7. Eating raw garlic everyday in early morning is the easiest way to treat arthritis.
  8. Mix two teaspoon of honey and 2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in warm water and drink it every morning is another possible way to get free from arthritis.
  9. Soak black sesame seeds in a cup of water for one night and drink it the next day along with the seeds. This will be one of the best home remedy for arthritis.
  10. It is must for the arthritis patient’s to avoid unhealthy and weight increasing food items like junk foods, soft drinks, high fats and carbohydrates to reduce the risk of arthritis. Proper exercises and a complete nutritious diet will naturally make a person fit and healthy to fight arthritis.
