Causes and Home Remedies for Diabetes

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder resulting in reduced production of insulin in our body, which boosts blood glucose levels. Longstanding Diabetes in the body can lead to a variety of problems including heart problem, kidney failures, defective vision, and thus the condition required immediate treatment.

Causes for Diabetes:

Diabetes is a chronic health problem. It is caused due to metabolic inefficiency in the body, when it cannot breakdown glucose, so that the glucose levels in the blood are reduced; and this condition is also a result of impaired production of insulin in the body, even when the body builds resistance to insulin, you face this condition. Sometimes Diabetes is also caused by infections from viruses. Obesity, improper diet and stress can cause diabetes.

Symptoms of Diabetes

General decline in the health; sudden loss of weight, increased thirst, increased hunger, fatigue, sleeplessness, increase in urination, getting up several times in the night for urination, tickling sensations in palms and feet, decreased vigor. These are just the symptoms of the beginning of the disease, while when it achieves the chronic condition, your heart can be affected, and so are the kidneys, eyes, and a whole lot of other organs in the body.

 

Home Remedies for Diabetes

There are a number of home remedies for treating diabetes effectively. However a word of caution since this is a chronic condition, which cannot be wished away, it required rigorous change in the lifestyle, dieting, and above all bidding a goodbye to sedentary way of life. Home remedies which are all derived from natural sources are many, which include

1. A tea spoon of cinnamon daily can relieve the symptoms of diabetes.

2. Fenugreek seeds soaked in a cup of water overnight, can be eaten, and drink the water in which the seeds were soaked, early in the morning on an empty stomach. This works like insulin and is very effective.

3. A small bitter gourd with its seeds removed should be saturated in a cup of water, and the water should be taken every morning for finding relief from diabetes.

4. Peel a green plantain, soak the feel in water and drink the water three times a day.

5. Boil 13-16 mango leaves keep it overnight saturated in water, and drink the water on empty stomach.

6. Eat garlic or garlic capsules daily.

7. 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar thrice a day. Add turmeric and cinnamon to your cooking.

8. Exercises done regularly help maintain blood glucose levels, which cal also keep away a number of related disorders like heart and kidney malfunctioning. Walking regularly helps de-stresses the systems and helps control diabetes. Regular pranayam and other yoga exercises can help maintain blood glucose levels. Meditation can also help you in a great measure.
