Causes and Home Remedies For Nausea

Nausea refers to the vomiting sensation due to various health disorders. Nausea indicates several illnesses and health conditions like indigestion, morning sickness especially during pregnancy, chemotherapy, stress, indulging, alcohol intake, food poisoning etc. There are various treatments that can be done at home to cure nausea.
Causes:
Some of the major reasons for nausea are:
- Stomach upset
- Pregnancy
- Motion and sea sickness
- Stress
- Some drugs
- Alcohol
- Food poisoning
- Overeating
- Diarrhea
- Gastritis
- Diabetes
- Cancer
- Fever
- Body weakness
Symptoms:
- Stomach ache
- Dizziness
- Sweating
- Urge to vomit
Home Remedies:
- Ginger is the excellent remedy for nausea. Take equal quantities of ginger and lemon and honey drink this in empty stomach. This will be the effective home remedy to cure nausea.
- Peppermint or chamomile tea can be consumed to avoid nausea.
- Carbonated drinks like soda can be mixed with lemon to reduce feeling of vomiting.
- Smelling fresh lemons will stop nausea sensation.
- Chewing peppermint or spearmint will help to relieve stomach upset and cure nausea.
- Take fresh leaves of mint and coriander and grind it. Filter the juice and mix it with two teaspoon of curd and little water. Add a pinch of salt to it. Drink this mixture to avoid vomiting.
- Some fruits like pineapple, papaya, orange, grapes, sweet lime, and apple have the quality to prohibit vomiting sensation.
- Always include fiber rich diet.
- It is better to avoid high spicy and oily food stuffs.
- Herbal oil massages and acupressure treatments can be given to get relief from vomiting.
- Banana can be taken after every meal to prevent nausea.
- Mix apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and drink this to avoid morning sickness.
- Mix cinnamon powder with juice of ginger and drink this to get relief from nausea.
- Have regular and adequate healthy meals.
- Drink warm milk before going to bed this will enhance your digestion.
- Cover your forehead with cool cloth dipped in ice or lavender oil.
- Practise some slight exercises daily.
- Brush your teeth twice a day.
- Try to inhale fresh air for sometime.
- Intake of vitamin B6 supplements will avert vomiting sensation.
- Include yogurt in your regular meals.
- Eat some cumin seeds along with water to comfort you.
- Avoid eating junk foods and other allergic foods to get rid of nausea.
- Drain the rice water and add a pinch of salt. Drink this everyday to get cure from nausea.
- Mix wheat germ with milk. This will be an effective home remedy for nausea.
