Causes and Home Remedies for Piles

Piles are the swollen or inflamed condition of the veins around the anus or lower rectum. Piles are medically termed as haemorrhoids and there are internal as well as external piles. Piles are the varicose or enlarged bloods vessels in the anus. There are several sources for piles and it is occurs in all age group people especially in women.

Causes:

  1. Unbalanced food intake
  2. Constipation
  3. Poor bowel habits
  4. Excessive stress to the body
  5. Chronic diarrhoea
  6. Indulging
  7. Pregnancy in women
  8. Age factor
  9. Genetic factor
  10. Anal intercourse
  11. Obesity
  12. Continuous cough and sneezing
  13. Inactive lifestyle
  14. Sitting and standing in one place for long duration
  15. Weakness of body tissues
  16. Mental strain

Symptoms:

  1. Pain during bowel movements
  2. Feeling irritation after passing stools
  3. Itching and discomfort while sitting
  4. rectal pain
  5. Blood in stools
  6. Anemia due to profuse bleeding
  7. Feeling uneasy due to bulging in the anus
  8. Frequent ineffectual urge for passing stool

Home Remedies for Treating Piles:

  1. The foremost effective home remedy to cure piles is to include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in daily meals. The fiber content in this nutritious food will help to make the bowel movements flexible and thus prevent piles.
  2. Black mustard can be powdered and mixed with a cup of yogurt. Drink this regularly to recover from piles.
  3. Buttermilk can also serve better in treating piles.
  4. Grate some radish and take the juice. Mix it with milk or honey and apply this in the affected areas to reduce the pain of the haemorrhoids. White radish juice also can be mixed with a pinch of salt and taken in empty stomach for better cure.
  5. Mix ginger juice with honey and lime juice and drink this everyday to reduce the effect of piles.
  6. Dry figs can be soaked in water for one night and drink this water next morning. Follow this regularly until the piles get healed.
  7. Extract juice from the turnip leaves and drink this habitually.
  8. Two tsp of powdered mango seeds with honey can cure piles.
  9. Sprinkle salt on the black berry fruit and eat this in empty stomach. This will give excellent relief from haemorrhoids.
  10. Bitter gourd juice can be mixed with buttermilk and taken every morning to cure piles. The paste of the roots can be applied to reduce pain in the affected area.
  11. Eat raw onions mixed with sugar. This will bring quick relief from piles.
  12. Mash ripe banana in a glass of milk and take it thrice a day to cure piles.
  13. Avoid eating spicy foods and do regular exercises.
  14. Drink plenty of water to flush out body toxins.
  15. Practise regular and hygienic bowel movements to avoid constipation.
  16. Don’t sit or stand in one place for a long time.
  17. Fill a tub with water up to your chin level and sit in it for some time to soothe pain.
  18. Boil 10 gm of sesame seeds in 4 cups of water and allow it to reduce to 2 cups. Take this water with butter to get cure from bleeding piles.
