Cats and dogs are the most preferred pets in most families. Being most friendly and loveable these have proved to be our best home pets. Most people prefer dogs while others prefer cats. There are several interested ones who prefer keeping both. However, cats demand less attention and time than dogs do. Many people prefer cats as they do not interrupt their busy schedules. Then there are people that are allergic to cats. This allergy can even cause to those who have been keeping cats for years without any problems. It can strike at any time to many unaware people.

Cat allergy symptoms are similar to other allergy symptoms. Many of them would appear to be seasonal but may tend to increase when you get close to your pet cat. Other symptoms include sneezing, runny nose etc. Sneezing problems may occur for no reasons or may begin on being close to your cats. Besides, on severe cases your runny nose may be accompanied with a difficulty in breathing.

Generally, people think that cat allergies are caused through cat hairs. But the hair is only a part of the main culprit. The dander is the main cause of cat allergies. Dander is dry skin which cats shed daily. It is much like the dander that we shed almost every day. This dander sticks to hair and can cause the allergy to spread all over the house. Besides, they also float along the air which makes their elimination a difficult task. This type of problem is also common among dogs.

As caution, many cat owners also try to clean dander through brushing. However, it may seem to provide some sort of assistance does not prove to be of much help. The cat hair is always going to have some dander that can trigger cat allergy symptoms. Besides, danders do float in air that makes their avoidance more difficult. You can assist yourself by wearing air filters or purifiers but that does not also provide a complete solution to the problem. This is due to the fact that you may get affected by the dander contained in cat’s hair.

The only complete solution to the problem is getting rid of your beloved pet. This is so because that no precaution or medication can provide effective relieves against cat allergies. Getting rid of cats may also not provide enough help as the dander might be floating in the air. As a precaution you may need to get replace your furniture and wash every cloth of your house. Before any thing else try to remove every thing that related to your cat out of your house. This way you will not only ensure better relief but would also lessen its chances of striking you again.
