Causes, Symptoms and Home Remedies for Low Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is always present; in the sense without this pressure blood cannot be pumped to various parts of the body. As the blood pressure goes beyond the normal level, hypertension results. We also start suspecting that heart is overstraining to pump the blood to the veins, and there maybe some blockages in the arteries making the blood pressure go up. On the other hand, Low blood pressure occurs when the flow of blood to vital organs falls short.

Causes for Low blood pressure

Low blood pressure can happen due to a variety of causes, like dehydration, heavy undigested meal, severe infection, heart attacks or heart failure or pregnancy.

Symptoms of Low blood pressure

Common symptoms of Low blood pressure include dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, lack of concentration etc.

Home Remedies for Low blood pressure

Low blood pressure can happen due to dehydration and therefore you should drink as much water as you can. When dehydration happens, blood value is minimized, resulting in drop of blood pressure. You should drink at least a glass of water every hour, to keep your system hydrated.

To bring back the pressure to normal, keeping knees flexed can help.

Before you begin your exercises, you should cool drink water, and after exercises also you should cool down. Don’t stop the exercises midway, because it can drop your pressure. .

Low blood pressure can’t be improved through alcoholic drinks; instead you can drink healthy juices including water. Drinking alcoholic beverages does not help the Low blood pressure condition.

It can be tackled through intake of salt, but this intake varies from person to person. Therefore proper judgment should be exercised.
While sleeping keep your head elevated.

Stretching exercises can help improve pressure levels. By squeezing your fists and pump your stomach you can improve levels of blood flow. .

When you take a huge meal, blood rushes to digestive area denying supply to other parts of the body. Go for smaller meals, to help proper blood flow.

After meals, take a small walk to help blood pressure levels to normalize.

A Chinese root, ginseng is said to help improving Low blood pressure.

Low blood pressure can be talked by chewing raisins soaked in water overnight, for a period of month.

A paste of almond soaked and ground, mixed with milk and boiled can served as a good drink for relieving Low blood pressure problem.

A word of caution: There may be a number of health reasons for the Low blood pressure and proper diagnosis of the causes should be determined before using the home remedies. Keep a track of your blood pressure, so that you know how it behaves, and help you to understand the reasons which be causing its erratic behavior if any.
