Cough and Sneezing and Dealing with the Dust That Causes These Conditions

Both cough and sneeze are dynamic reflexes which defend your immune system from dust particles existing in the air like bacteria, irritants, viruses, pollutants as well as dust. The cough expels the dust which causes irritation in the bronchial passages and a sneeze removes the dust which causes irritation in the upper nasal lining.

The first question which should hit your mind is how does dust affect your health since dust is a very complex material which is formed from viruses, bacteria, saliva, and many other chemicals lying in the nature.

Most of the things which exist in nature consist of dust particles of allergens that are very harmful to your body. Coughing and Sneezing is your body’s natural resistance against these bullies.

According to a research, it is considered that dust particles are found more in the indoor areas as compared to the outdoor places. Sneezing and cough are very common conditions which occur due to indoor air pollution like sinus problems, eye irritation, headache, and even fatigue and many other problems.

Limited Exposure to Dust

If you are suffering from dust allergies, your best medication is to avoid much exposure to the dust. There are some wise steps through which you can avoid dust particles that cause these problem of cough and sneezing to you.

Rugs, drapery, floors, furniture often have a lot of dust, which is very harmful to the health. A vacuum cleaner filters the dust that is strained into the air during the vacuum process. Stay away from feather dusters and using sweeping as they can aggravate your symptoms.

Use of air purifier at home can also minimize the amount of dust that gets deposited in the filter due to allergens present in the air. So, during windy days close your windows to minimize dust to enter your house.
