Effective And Simple Home Remedies To Drive Blackheads Away

How many hours have you stared at the mirror, trying your best to squeeze out those pesky blackheads out of your pores? You spend time trying to figure out what has gone wrong with your pores, still blanked, you squeeze and squeeze until something comes out. Those little bumps that have been embedded into the pores of your skin (usually yellowish or blackish in color) are called blackheads.

Blackheads or comedone is a type of open acne. Having them is a problem that adults and teenagers share. Blackheads are the first stage of acne that forms before pores of your skin are invaded by bacteria. Excessive hormones in your skin develop after puberty stimulates your sebaceous glands (oil glands). Stimulation of these gland leads to adscititious production of oil in your pores.

Say goodbye to those pesky blackheads with these tips which you can do at home:

  • With a mixture of salty water (on tablespoon of salt to 8 ounces of warm water), wash your face once a day. Salt will get rid of the blackheads by helping your pores to dry out the excess oil.
  • Another effective way to remove blackheads using salt is to add 4 drops of iodine in a ΒΌ cup of hot water with 1 tsp of Epsom salt. After cooling down, apply the solution to the affected area using a cotton ball. After drying, remove the mixture leavings with a clean cloth.
  • Taking steam would be very effective in removing blackheads, for steam opens blocked pores. Rub the infected area with a towel after taking the steam. Splash the area with cold, distilled water after to close all the open pores.
  • Nose strips can also be effective, first wet your nose using a clean face cloth then dry your hands. Attach the sticky side to the area and wet it again. After 10 minutes, the nose strip would be hard then it is time to remove it.
  • Facial scrubs may also be used. Wash your face and rinse with distilled water. Take a small amount of facial scrub then massage your face to exfoliate the skin. Rinse and wash again.
  • Mix then apply 3 tbsp of honey and a tsp of cinnamon powder to the affected area and leave them on overnight. Wash the following morning with distilled lukewarm water.
  • A lotion made from equal parts of lime juice, almond oil and glycerin when applied to the face will not only cure your blackheads but it would also work wonders for the discoloring spots on your face.

If done improperly, the removal of blackheads can damage your skin. Follow these tips carefully and you will enjoy a blackhead free face in no time.
