Effective Home Remedies for Boils

Boils are referred to the skin infection that is rooted by staphylococcus bacteria. They appear like a painful red-coloured swellings filled with pus. Boils can arise in any parts of your body, but mostly in the areas covered with hair coarse like face, scalp, neck, knees, elbows etc. Boils begins as a small painful pimple like nodule and then slowly grows in size and becomes tender itchy lumps. Normally boils will disappear within two weeks. A single boil is called as furuncle and a cluster of boils is termed as carbuncle. There are several home remedies and other medications that are helpful to reduce the severity of boils.

Causes:

  1. Infection due to staphylococcus aureus bacteria
  2. Climatic conditions
  3. Clogged sweat glands
  4. Pollution
  5. Skin damages like cut or wound
  6. ingrown hair
  7. Poor hygiene
  8. Unbalanced diet

Symptoms:

  1. Painful red pimple like balls on the skin
  2. Nodules grow in size and filled with pus
  3. Causes irritation and itching
  4. Swelling in the hair follicle
  5. Discharge of pus from the boils when broken
  6. Patient might sense feverish

Home Remedies for Boils:

There are some excellent home remedies for treating boils and they are as follows:

  1. Take one teaspoon of Neem powder, two teaspoon of turmeric, one teaspoon of sandalwood powder and some rose water to make paste. Apply this on the boils for fast relief.
  2. Include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your regular diet.
  3. Wear comfortable cotton clothes.
  4. Always keep your body clean and hygiene.
  5. Garlic cloves can be powdered and mixed with water. This can be applied over the boils.
  6. Garlic and onion plays the major role in boils treatment. Juices of garlic and onion can be applied on the boils. This will ripen them to break and release the pus for better cure.
  7. Mix milk cream with one teaspoon of turmeric powder and 4 drops of vinegar. Applying coat of this mixture will help to break the boils.
  8. Paste made from Cumin seeds or Peepal tree leaves or Margosa leaves or Parsley leaves also can be used for healing boils.
  9. Take the juice of bitter gourd and mix with few drops of lemon juice drink this juice everyday on empty stomach. This will cool and heal the body effectively.
  10. Soak cotton in tomato juice and apply it over the boils for soothing.
  11. Drinking orange juice every day in empty stomach will facilitate quick relief from boils.
  12. Grate a raw carrot and add few drops of wheat germ oil and apply it on the infected spot.
  13. Honey can be mixed with wheat germ oil and coated on the skin for reducing boil pains.

    thanks for remedies.. i frequently getting these boils often.. i wondered what was this.. though i have healthy diet, keep myself clean. perhaps this genarate due to heat. as the temperature here is high.. and hot everytime.
