Home Remedy for Belching

You occasionally remove gas from your stomach by expelling air through the mouth. This is followed by a particular sound and more often a characteristic smell. This happens when you have too much gas in your stomach. It is a normal condition that happens regularly. However if you have a recurrent case you might use a home remedy for belching to help you manage it easily.

When it comes to belching the best thing to do is serve sizeable portion during meal times. Large portions of food bring about belching episodes. If you already have the condition then it only makes it worse. Simply eat just enough to avoid over filling your stomach.

Another remedy for belching is to eat your foods slowly. Take your time to chew your meals properly. This eases the condition as you minimize instances of swallowing up more gas. Chewing your food also helps in easing pressure in your stomach. It makes it simpler for your stomach to digest food and also in bowel movement. 

Take water often to help ease the problem. A good idea is to take warm water regularly until the condition disappears. You can try mixing a tea spoon of baking powder in a glass of warm water. This eases the condition when you take it regularly when suffering from the condition.

You can drink herbal tea to treat a condition of belching. Some of the teas you can try out include chamomile, mint and ginger. These are known to work well in the stomach. They also help in digestion. Make a fresh cup of the teas and drink without sugar. They are most effective in this way when treating belching.

Another idea is to use cloves or garlic. These herbs assist in digestion and can help you treat belching. All you need is take a fresh clove of garlic and chew it. Do not let the strong smell put it off. You can also crush it and chop into tiny bits. Mix this with a tablespoon of water and swallow.

To avoid getting regular bouts of belching you can try taking soups before you meals. It helps prepare your stomach for digestion. This is a good remedy for belching as it minimizes cases of gas accumulation which leads to the condition.

Avoid some foods that make belching even worse. Some of the foods to watch out for include chocolates, onions and carbonated drinks. It is a good idea to keep away from drugs, cigarettes and alcohol as they only add more gas to your stomach. Oily, sugary, spicy and highly spicy foods will also make the condition worse. They do not help in digestion either. It is advisable to avoid them too. This is another home remedy for belching you can practice.
