- If you have more than one sensitive tooth then visit any dentist to discuss your problem as it may create further problems in your teeth and a he can suggest you some of the best methods to protect your sensitive teeth. Sometimes dentist fill the sensitive area of your teeth with bonding agent. He can also suggest some fluoride gel to give you relief from pain.
- Use a gentle method to clean your sensitive teeth since most of the people usually brush their teeth in very aggressive mode which harms the teeth. Also if there is a lot of pain then buy soft-bristled brush to clean your teeth and then brush it vertically instead of using it horizontally.
- Use that toothpaste which is especially made for the people with sensitive teeth. You can also consult a dentist to know about toothpaste as use of normal toothpaste is not good for the sensitive teeth.
- Those who have sensitive teeth should avoid drinking those liquids and eating foods which cause pain in their sensitive teeth. They should also avoid drinking coffee and eating ice cream if it causes pain. Also if pain occurs in sensitive teeth while eating then eat from other side of your mouth.
- Lastly, ask your dentist about the cause of sensitive teeth and once you know the reason, avoid the things which can cause pain. For example, if your teeth have become sensitive due to grinding, consult a dentist to get rid of this habit.
