Good sleep is important good health. In fact your sleep is indicative of your health. Often we have experienced sleeplessness for some reason or the other. It may be some physical uneasiness, mental stress or anxiety, tension, which all contribute to sleeplessness denying you a good sleep. Here are a few simple natural remedies to help you get a good night sleep.
If you are keeping good health, and your body is fit there is no reason why it can not relax, as the body also wants some rest, so that it can rejuvenate itself for the following day’s work. In that case what makes sleep to go away from any particular person. The reasons can be two fold. Physical conditions and the other one is mental stress. While there are certainly a conditions which may not help you get good sleep.
These apart, bedtime should not be used to review the events of the day, when you would have met some unpleasant events. It is these events which will deny you of a good sleep.
Natural remedies to get good sleep :
1. Going to sleep at a particular time every night is essential, even though you may not be really feeling sleepy at that particular time.
2. Choose the same place same bed and same room for sleeping. This helps psychologically, because as you see your bed you feel sleepy. Never use your bed as a dining table.
3. If you aren’t feeling sleepy, don’t try to do things in which you are not interested.
4. Before going to bed, have a relaxing bath in warm water; which can induce good sleep.
5. Don’t try to sleep immediately after dinner; give at least 2 hours gap,
6. Drinking a glass of warm milk can help induce sleep.
7. While trying to sleep don’t have tight clothes. Loose cotton clothes are best for sleeping, which will keep you relaxed.
8. Ensure that there is plenty of air circulation in your room and it is spacious. Keep away phone, door bells, and lights disturbing your sleep?
9. Arrange your bed in such a way it is inviting, by its neat, clean and fresh bed sheets and pillows. If the bed is untidy you can’t sleep.
10. Regular exercises can help you to get good sleep. Ensure that your exercises are completed at least four hours before bedtime.
11. Avoid sleeping in the afternoons, which can disturb your regular sleep.
Let’s remember that it is sleep which gives us our well deserved relaxation, and the body rests during sleep. If you carry waking hours tension and anxieties to your sleep time it will certainly deny you good sleep, and when you don’t sleep well you are not ready for the following day.Sleeplessness is a very serious matter, which just can’t be brushed away. If you happen to suffer from this condition, don’t ignore it.
