Some of the Simple Ways to Avoid and Prevent Infectious Diseases

Infectious diseases occur due to pathogenic microorganisms in the environment. Infectious diseases are very harmful since they occur due to pollution existing in the environment. Diseases like cold, influenza and other viral infections are caused due to these bacteria and virus and life-threatening. Here are some basic tips to help you from infectious diseases:
1. Wash your hands frequently.
It is very necessary to regularly wash your hands to keep yourself away from the infection of viral disease. It helps to flush out bacteria which come in your contact during the use of toiletries, door knobs, keys and many other things which we never knew can be harmful for us. Use liquid soap and water generously if you are in position where there are no comforts rooms; even alcohols and hand sanitizers are good alternatives to avoid the problem.
2. Use facial mask in crowded places.
Try to use facial mask to prevent virus and bacteria from attacking your face since they are airborne and if enter your body are very harmful for health. Although it is very uncomfortable and irritating to wear facial mask but it is necessary for good health.
3. Avoid sick people.
Try to move away from sick people because they carry bacteria and virus which can be very harmful for health. Use mask while visiting hospitals to protect yourself.
4. Cover your mouth when coughing.
Always use disposal tissue while coughing because when you sneeze, many harmful bacteria and virus are thrown out by your mouth and enter the other person’s body. Do not cover your mouth with hand as when sneezing in your hand, bacteria and viruses move into your palm which can be easily transmitted through virus. Sanitize your hands after coughing or sneezing.
5. Don’t share personal things.
Try to avoid sharing your personal belongings with other as it is one of the medium of transmission of virus so keep your things away from the reach of others.
6. Stay at home when you are sick.
Try to keep yourself isolated if you are sick because your cough and cold is easily transferable to others through physical interaction.
These are some of the simple steps which can help you to protect from infectious disease. So, practice them to stay healthy.
