Leucorrhoea is a disease of the females, who suffer from a whitish discharge from their vaginas. In colloquial parlance it is known simply as whites. The disease is connected with the female reproductive organs and system. Sometimes this whitish discharge may be for a few weeks, but at times it may continue for months together. If ignored, the problem can turn chronic leading to many other connection conditions.
Symptoms of Leucorrhoea :-
The symptoms, which Leucorrhoea infected females manifest include headaches, appearing in frequent intervals, constipation, intense itching and redness in vagina, whitish fluid discharge coming out of vagina, lumbar region and calves suffering from cramps.
Other symptoms include general weakness, dark circles under the eyes, and black patches on the area surrounding eyes.
Causes for Leucorrhoea :-
The whitish discharge from vagina is mainly due to the toxicity in the female reproductive tract. Another important reason for this condition is the questionable lifestyle and diets.
Sometimes when the female is going through the menstrual cycle, the lining of the vagina which constitutes of mucous membrane is likely to get thicker, and in turn the reproductive organs of the woman also thickens, leading to whitish vaginal discharge.
During the period of child-bearing age, the female reproductive organs, especially the cervix might get damaged and infected. This is also a cause for leucorrhoea. Other causes include displacement of the womb, unhygienic conditions around vagina which can attract bacteria.
Following are some natural remedies for Leucorrhoea:-
- Boil the vegetable, Ladyfinger in half liter water for 15-20 minutes. Water should be strained away, and a bit of sugar to taste be added. Consume the potion in small doses at frequent intervals to get relief from leucorrhoea.
- Tea made out of fenugreek seeds can cure this discharge. Fenugreek seeds tea is easy to prepare. Boil two tsp of fenugreek seeds in a liter of water and let it simmer for about half an hour. After straining, use the potion as a douche to wash the vagina.
- Walnut tree leaves picked freshly from the tree should be made into a decoction, and used as a vaginal douche. The astringent components in the leaves are known to heal vaginal discharges effectively.
- Vaginal discharges can be contained through applying a paste of decorticated mango seeds inside the vaginal tract, is also good to stop white vaginal discharge.
- Vaginal douches with triphala water are effective.
- You can give a cold hip for relief in Leucorrhea from white vaginal discharge.
As the continued presence of the white vaginal discharge may hinder the possibilities of conceiving a child, the condition should be immediately subjected to Medicare and treatment taken, as otherwise long term implications can affect the very quality of the woman’s life.
