Everyone knows that your eyes besides being very sensitive, they are the most beautiful part of our body, and keep them beautiful proper rest, good sleep and correct food are very essential. Unfortunately, overpowered by the demands of the present day hurried lives, we ignore these simple aspects, and we are not treating our eyes with the importance they deserve, resulting in major problems to the eyes. Dark circles are one of such problems.
Everyone at some time or the other is affected with dark circles under eyes, which are temporary in nature, and fade away. Apart from embarrassment that they cause, they are considered as a major dermatological issue, even as you look older, tired, stressed.
Symptoms of Dark Circles:
Dark circles under the eyes cause puffiness, bagginess, and are usually a cosmetic problem.
Causes of Dark Circles:
- Tiredness – when you have had no proffer sleep they appear tired.
- Fluid retention is another cause for dark circles
- Dehydration
- Genetics
- Hyperpigmentation
Home Remedies for Dark Circles:
- Cucumber juice applied through cotton pads place over your eyes for about 15 minutes will cool and relax the eyes. Try and cover the eyes with cucumber slices for some time, as it can effective remove dark circles.
- Almond oil is a perfect moisturizer and is an effective anti-dark circle product. Rub a small quantity of this oil around the eyes daily in the morning and at bedtime, which can make the skin supple and soft.
- Ice cubes can be great help especially if your eyes are tired in hot sun.
Heat and pollution also cause dark circle. Wash your face, take some ice cubes and wrap them in fine cloth, shut your eyes after lying down, place an ice cube pack over each eye, and start rubbing it gently. This will relax your eyes, and regularly if used can lighten the dark circles and you may be able to totally get rid of them.
For healthy looking eyes, a good diet is of utmost importance. Drink plenty of water, and if you are smoking, quit this habit, as it will make the blood vessels bluer. The eyes are considered as not only windows to the outer world, from which you can see the world outside, but also people can see through them to know how healthy you are. Your health is certainly reflected in your eyes, and there is nothing like a glimmer in the eyes. To ensure you have that glimmer in you and you are attractive to people, avoid developing dark circles in the first place, by maintaining your general health, keeping away from smoking and other habits, and ensure that your eyes continue to remain as the best and most attractive part of you.
