The circulatory system is indispensable to our body. It comprises veins, arteries, heart and capillaries and transports water, nutrients, oxygen and blood throughout our body and helps in removing the waste material from our body. One way to ensure our circulatory system functions properly is to nourish it with a diet copious in vitamins and minerals.
Vitamin C strengthens protecting sides of the blood vessels, how, because it produces collagen and collagen is an essential life saving fluid. Copper which is a mineral helps in the blood-making process in our body. Then there’s biotin on which the performance and the health of circulatory system depends as it plays an important role in a number of enzyme processes.
It’s vitamin E which in dual ways ensures that the circulatory system functions in a healthy manner. It’s critical in controlling blood clotting and it helps in vein dilation. Anti oxidants properties is another of its feature in which vitamin C is a sharer. These two, with other antioxidants in the body, bring free radicals under control which otherwise can harm body tissue if left unchecked.
Potassium is beneficial for the health of the heart; with it, it’s important for the whole circulatory system. Potassium works towards controlling the fluid stabilization and blood pressure in this system. The execution of these functions is also shared by sodium. If we forget for a sec the minus points of sodium, we’ll find that it’s good for body’s functioning esp. for the circulatory system. Moderation is the key when we take sodium. A little is necessary but excess of it is dangerous.
To keep your circulatory system in the good condition, it’s essential to back its functions by having a diet which has the right combination of minerals, vitamins and several other nutrients.
