Not many have heard about the term insulin resistance. This may be quite new to many around the globe but is very common in the United States. It is better to be resistant against infections and viruses but being resistant to insulin can prove quite disturbing.

According to recent estimates, around twenty five percent adults around the globe have already developed it. The primary cause of this issue constitutes to be excessive reliance upon processed & junk foods and lack of exercise. This can adversely affect your health to a great extent and make you prone to major health complications such as heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.

Now every time when you eat those scones, French fries or sugary cereals then you are forcing your body to pump out the insulin in order to get out the glucose or sugar from your blood stream into the cells. The cells use this glucose in form of fuels. Repeated and continuous surges of insulin can tire the cell receptors and reduce their work efficiency. The insulins are required in more and more numbers for doing the same job. This is what insulin resistance means that increases your blood sugar and cholesterol levels and encourage the risks of cancer. This for sure contributes to obesity and overweight problems and could ultimately make you suffer very high blood sugar levels.

The best solution to this problem is following a regular exercise regimen and high fiber and slow digesting diet plan. Also, consider ditching the Trans and saturated fats for bringing down the blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar levels will also require less insulin for bringing it down. Moreover, on suffering such symptoms this issue requires addressing of a doctor as well as a nutritionist for dealing the matter in an effective manner. However, regular exercise regimen and a healthy dietary practice will always help you avoid the matter of insulin resistance and keep you on an overall better healthy state.
