Which Foods a Balanced Diet for Stomach Ulcer Patients should Contain

A stomach ulcer is one of the common diseases as it affects millions of people worldwide. It is also called as peptic ulcer. This ulcer normally occurs due to some destruction in intestines because of hydrochloric acid that causes little holes and also causes intestinal infections.

There are number of reasons behind the formation of ulcers in person’s stomach but some of the main causes are excessive smoking, unbalanced diet and pyretic medicines such as aspirins.

A dietary chart is quite important for an ulcer patient which should include adequate and ample amount of fibers, antioxidants and liquids. It is vital that the diet of an ulcer patient should be balanced. It should include all the vitamins, minerals and proteins required to make the body healthy.

Ulcer patients should always avoid the intake of spicy foods as they will aggravate the symptoms. They should consume caffeine and alcohol products cautiously because these can increase the acidity. A recent study has proved that sodium can also worsen the problem of ulcers and therefore, must be avoided.

Balanced diet normally plays a significant role in the well-being of every person. For example, Vitamin A is very effective for ulcer patients as it repairs all the damaged tissues of the body. The amount of its usage should be less because excessive usage can create toxic substances inside the body. Vitamin A can be found in apples, carrots and all green vegetables.

Vitamin C is also responsible for raising the immunity level and accelerating the process of healing of the area damaged by ulcers. It can be found in citrus fruits like oranges and lemon. Proteins are known as building blocks of a body and hence their presence is important because they can help to close the wounds rapidly to develop more cells. Proteins can be found in milk, pulses, sunflower oils and cheddar cheese.

It is advisable that a patient must go for that diet plan which should contain three snacks and three big meals to avoid a prolonged period of hunger. The food has to be consumed with  relaxed mind. So follow all the above-mentioned steps to cure your stomach ulcer.
